Surf today is running chest to shoulder high, bigger drops. Pretty consistent, but warbly with the wind from last night. Conditions should improve as the wind is starting to back off the beach at about 10-12 knots. Water temps are 58-59 degrees. Bouy to the S is 7.5 ft with a SE swell direction.

Waves were firing, the weather was inclimate at times, but bon fires were happening and this contest was super fun. The Air heat was a 6 man heat that was agreed on at the last minute by the urging of 6 of our craziest top competitors. Morgan Faulkner competed which made the men's final FIERCE.It was defintely TOE TO TOE. GREAT TIMES YESTERDAY FOR SURE!!

MDC has finally had a chance to update this page LatestProductionStandouts. We have had quite a run this season with no end in sight. STOKED!! These beautiful custom artpieces were done by Kim of Strange Horizon's Tattoo. These are his and her boards. Thanks, Kim and Jason at Strange Horizon's. We strongly reccommend them for ink work.

	MDC has been VERY BUSY in the art department, working with artist John Olvey on two projects shown above. Left is an MDC creation, from an 80's Shaun Thomson Clark blank with cloth inlays and dual resin pinlines.

The latest RPQ 5.10 Fuego. Comments: The channels on the tail create less cavitation among the fins, producing bursts of speed through gutless sections! The wide tail offers a loose feel and more float. The quad configuration allows down the line speed and drive. With this model you have the best of both worlds for that smaller summertime session. This shot will be featured in ESM's board forum in the fall travel issue. This issue will also be handed out at Surf Expo. STOKED!!

Masters Division title holder Zach May was out with an ACL injury. Surf was held on Saturday in waist high surf. Peaky SSE swell held althoguh inconsistent at times. The Men's Final was held late in the afternoon and the surf had picked up which made for a good duke out.

MDC LONGBOARD PRO WAS A BLAST!!

What a great day we had at Packery Channel. This contest marked ALOT of FIRSTS and made some HISTORY, and while the wave conditions were not primo, a good time was had by all for sure!!This contest marks the first event ever held at Packery and the first time EVER that the women won just as much money as the men in the Pro Division. Also, a big thank you to Anarchy Sunglasses for supplying ALL PODIUM PLACEMENTS with Anarchy and Angel eyewear. Also thank you to Cobian Sandals and Dakine for their booty packs. Congratulations to Corey Williams and Lauren Kenney who took home the cash, the booty and each won a custom MDC Longboard.
