Rick Sharp is a self taught artist who hails from Houston, Texas. He won a scholarship upon graduating high school and set out for Santa Barbara, CA. There he did a short stint at the Brooks Institute, and then his artwork took off. An avid surfer, Rick was the "go to guy" for all things Southern Cali poster art. He pioneered the trippy "fairytale book" style of 60's poster art and quickly found himself busy doing artwork for companies such as O'Neill, Hang Ten, Channel Islands and A&M Records. We were blown away by his work and you will be, too!! Rick now resides in Hawaii and uses the islands to inspire his latest works. He also does beautiful vintage art from Hawaii, Cali, and Texas. We have Rick Sharp giclee prints available at the shop matted to 16X20 as well as vintage wooden signs 17X21 ready to hang.
