For over 35 years now, Mike Doyle has been handcrafting quality surfboards blazing the trail for the Texas Surf Industry while making a name for himself on a worldwide level. What started out in a garage in Ventura California, quickly turned into a lifelong passion of creating individual custom surfboards, as well as indivdualizing custom selections for surf shop owners. Years of experience in all realms of building surfboards from start to finish, combined with Mike's extensive knowledge on the history and evolution of surfboard design has led to a solid foundation within the surf industry. Since our inception Mike Doyle Custom Surfboards has shipped boards all over the globe and continues to concentrate on quality craftsmanship that is considered sacred to our company.

At MDC, all boards are handcrafted from start to finish. Every part of the building process: shaping, airbrush, glassing, sanding and polishing, are all performed right here in our facility. We do not farm out any part of the process. Here at the facility, we are all about the INDIVIDUAL CUSTOM BOARD. We also work closely with shop owners to customize a selection of MDC models that will represent not only our brand, but their own location and homebreak's needs. We are open to the PUBLIC. While this website is something new, we fully intend on doing what we've always done here:

"Working closely with the individual surfer during the ordering process to ensure that we tailor a board to each surfer's specific needs."

How To Find Us

We are located at little off the beaten path of SPID in Flour Bluff near the Flour Bluff Dr/SPID intersection. Zoning requires that we must be an industrial zone and MDC is STOKED on being just that: INDUSTRIAL. We have always enjoyed being somewhat of a "hardcore hideaway" and walkins are pleasantly surprised to see all the action going on. We are located at 830 Behmann St. If you are coming from the island, exit Flour Bluff Dr, turn right at the green MDC sign at Paul's Seafood onto Behmann ST. Go down past the stop sign and we are located on the left. If you are coming from town, you can either exit Waldron and make the loop and take a right on Behmann at the green sign, or exit Flour Bluff Dr, turn left, go past the new Stripes and make a right on Matlock and a left onto Behmann.
