Getting your board ready to come in for repair:1.Take off your leash. 2.Take off your fins, unless they are the problem and you can't get them off. If it is FCS, don't try to pull the broken plugs out. Just bring it in. 3.Clean the sand off. If you have time, clean off the wax. It probably needs fresh wax anyway and it will be like new when you get it back! 4.Leave the bag in your car. 5.Don't plug your dings with wax unless you have to. Always try to keep stickers, decals, in your glove box and use them instead. A tube of Solar Cure will work, but you need sandpaper, too. 6.If epoxy, get out immediately. We've used stickers and gone back out. 7.If you are bringing in something that has been on the patio for a year or so, pleases, clean it off with a hose. If your dog has been laying on it for the last six months, blast it with a hose! Back to SurfboardRepair |
